    My question is why only build 1? TESS doesn't seem like it would cost multiple billions to build like the JWST. Launch costs are significantly lower with spacex nowadays. Wouldn't it be extremely beneficial to have multiple TESS's ?

    "Is there life beyond our planet and solar system…" oh the arrogance of man. How much life is just on this one planet we inhabit? Why would we even assume that nothing no where else exists?! There's obvious a lack of intelligent life here.
