As a person who has chronic pain (since mid '98, with no foreseeable end), ANY distraction is welcome! Its like listening to some great music and your mood is changed. Many Lymies, as we call ourselves, commit suicide due to the unending pain (emotional and physical). I've learned relaxation techniques, among other methods, which help. Most things only work a little bit or for a short time. But for those few minutes . . . Heaven!
I've been on strong opiods that really just dulled the pain. Never again. Distractions are better.
BTW, you guys are one of my distractions. It brings me back to when I was able to work, as a COBOL programmer and tech talking with co-workers. So, thanks!
Even if only for a short time, distractions break up the unending-ness of it all. I would LOVE to try VR for a while!
Sorry this is so long. Thanks, again.
